If there has been one common
thread in Greater West Houston's phenomenal success story over the past quarter
century, it has been the visionary leadership of its business community,
orchestrated through the West Houston Association.
The West Houston Association was the first suburban development group chartered in Houston
in 1979.
Our
Board of
Directors
has guided our
aggressive pursue public policies that enhance quality growth, quality of
life and economic development in our tri-county area of interest, covering
1000 square miles.
Where some might see no choices other than uncontrolled growth or no growth
at all, WHA has steadily charted a course of quality growth that has made
West Houston the shining star of the entire Houston metro region - and one
of the fastest-growing areas in all of the the United States.
The
Association plans and works for quality growth. Our recently released

Houston Plan 2050-Envisioning Greater West Houston at Mid-Century
address
infrastructure needs to accommodate the forecasted 2.2 million residents and
1 million employees of Greater West Houston.
