Congratulations to our Rising Leaders Class 2!

Yesterday evening, WHA celebrated the graduation of our Rising Leaders Class 2 at Liberty Kitchen under the Treehouse. The Rising Leaders Program is a group of young professionals, nominated by our Quality Growth Partners, to be part of the association’s activities and undertake a class project. Our hope is that through the program each of our leaders can grow a network within the West Houston Association that will enhance the ability of these leaders to make positive changes in West Houston.

Mayor Joe Zimmerman gave the ceremonial commencement speech at class 2’s graduation. During the speech the Mayor encouraged everyone in the room to remain involved and engaged in their communities.  He emboldened our Rising Leaders to take up elected office and continue the trend of public private partnerships with emphasis on partnering across party lines. Thank you to Mayor Zimmerman for taking the time to speak to our group and graduates. Pat Maddox, past president of the Association, did the honors of handing each of our graduates their certificates. Class 2 consists of 5 individuals who range in backgrounds from Finance to Engineering to Land Development and more. Congratulations to:

Todd Hamilton – Development Manager – Cross Creek Ranch at Johnson Development Corp

Greg Lentz Director – Masterson Advisors LLC

Andy Palermo – Associate Principal & Department Manager – EHRA

Jon D. Polley – Member – Radcliffe Bobbitt Adams Polley

DeKécha Shepherd – Sr. Project Manager – Costello Inc.

We look forward to welcoming our Class 4 of the Rising Leaders at their upcoming orientation! Click the button below to learn more about the Rising Leaders program.
