Progress is being made on the State Highway 36 and the proposed 36A corridor, a project concerning more than $300 million in improvements over a 52-mile stretch of SH36.

The Highway 36A Coalition is a group of stakeholders that advocates for “responsible development of a regional transportation infrastructure from the Brazosport area to Hempstead and beyond”.
