Staffs Corner: December 2020

Happy Holidays, WHA Members!

It’s that time of year again when take stock and give thanks for those people that really matter the most. We here at the West Houston Association appreciate everything you have done over the last 41 years to support our mission to provide quality places to live, work and play in West Houston. 2020 has presented us with some unique challenges, and we are grateful that you have hung in there with us as we have gone virtual. You’ve gotten creative with us about networking, you’ve contemplated green and blue spaces and their importance not only to fight flooding but also to promote public and personal health, you’ve continued to advocate for sustainable practices and quality planned development, and you are looking to the future in transportation and workforce needs. We could not do this work without your generous support and involvement.

This is also the time of year that we send out renewals and you should see those letters arriving in your mailbox soon. As with all things in 2020, we are working on sending those out electronically, as well. We would like to ask you to also consider becoming a Quality Growth Partner.  Your support as a Quality Growth Partner gives us the opportunity to provide you with educational forums, opportunities to meet with local, state and federal elected and public officials, and to advocate for policies that create resilient, sustainable and dynamic communities today and tomorrow. Your support drives our mission.

If you have questions or have not yet received your letter, please email me at jennifer@westhouston.org. We look forward to continuing great things with you in 2021!
