Laughter and handshakes filled the air as WHA members, both new and seasoned, and other guests, mingled across industries and interests. Whether discussing quality developments over a cold beer or catching up with colleagues over a white claw, the pre-tournament atmosphere reflected exactly what WHA is all about: building relationships that strengthen our region.
A huge thanks to Oleh Bryndzia and John Herzog, who welcomed everyone and served as our emcees. They set the tone and helped guide everyone through the day’s activities. Following a quick orientation from the Topgolf pros, the tournament officially launched. Teams took their swings with a mix of strategy and swagger, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm. Across the bays, players cheered one another on, exchanged playful jabs, and celebrated each well-earned score.
Spectators and supporters lined the bays, snapping photos, sharing encouragement, and creating a lively backdrop of cheers and applause. The camaraderie was undeniable, turning competition into community and making every participant—player or not—feel part of something bigger.
As the tournament progressed, the competition grew fierce. Ultimately, the top-performing golfers were celebrated with awards and recognition, honoring their exceptional performance. What an incredible day at our 5th Annual WHA Topgolf Tournament! Thank you to everyone who joined us—not just to take a swing at victory, but to share in an afternoon of camaraderie, purpose, and vision for the future of West Houston.
This wasn’t just a golf outing. It was a celebration of the professionals, partners, and changemakers who are driving progress across our region. From innovative development to resilient infrastructure and environmental stewardship, our attendees are shaping a West Houston that thrives—today and for generations to come.
Whether you crushed the leaderboard or simply enjoyed the food and fresh air, your presence spoke volumes about your commitment to building strong connections and better communities. The laughter, high-fives, and side conversations about stormwater, housing trends, and regional mobility were just as powerful as any hole-in-one.
A special round of applause goes to the outstanding members of our Rising Leaders Class 9, who poured their time, energy, and creativity into planning and executing this event. From securing sponsors to coordinating logistics and creating a welcoming atmosphere, Class 9 made it all look easy—while balancing their day jobs and leadership development in the process. Their efforts made the experience not only seamless, but truly special.
We are also deeply grateful to our sponsors, whose generous support helped us bring this event to life. Your investment empowers not only a great afternoon of networking and fun—but also WHA’s broader mission to promote high-quality growth, strategic infrastructure, and collaborative leadership across our region.
The WHA Rising Leaders Program is a launchpad for future advocated, committee leaders and WHA board members. Over the course of the year, participants engage with key issues like flood mitigation, land use, transportation, sustainability, and water policy; gaining insights and building relationships that will serve them throughout their careers.
To everyone who participated—thank you. Events like these remind us that when people come together with shared purpose and a willingness to collaborate, great things happen.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament. Until then, let’s keep working together to raise the bar for the greater West Houston region!
