Flood Control Forum

The Greater West Houston region has been adversely impacted by flooding for a number of years. Recognizing the continued importance of discussing flooding and drainage, WHA will hold it’s 6th Annual Flood Control Forum on August 12, 2021.
We will be featuring speakers from the federal, state, and county levels to provide updates on regional flood control challenges and opportunities, including discussions about the USACE’s Buffalo Bayou and Tributaries Resiliency Study, the regional flood planning process, and how money is being spent locally in the West Houston region. The panel will be moderated by WHA’s Flood Control and Drainage Committee Chair, Tim Buscha.
